He said that the state government saved N57.6million from the suspension of salaries of the affected workers from both state and local government civil service.
According to him, the 170 staff with salaries amounting to N19.6 million are being investigated, but assured that their salaries would be paid, because they have achieved sufficient attendance, “but being investigated to know why they fall into that category.”
Magaji explained that the total suspension from the payroll for the month of September was 731 staff, while the number of staff under investigation is 170, making a total of 901 staff.
On his part, the state’s Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Bappayo Yahaya, urged workers to always report for work as stated in their duty schedule.
