The committee on recovery of state assets constituted by the Gombe State Government has invited former Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo and his aides to account for property allegedly disposed by his administration.
The chairman of the committee, Peter Bilal, said the invitation was made public after all efforts to get their input on how the property was disposed and money withdrawn at the twilight of the administration failed.
Bilal said if they failed to appear before the committee, legal actions would be taken to recover the assets.
He alleged that government’s property, including plots of land as well as vehicles worth billions of naira were disposed illegally by Dankwambo’s administration.
