The Gombe State Government has sought for more robust partnership with the Media Trust Group, owners of Daily Trust, Aminiya and Trust TV, to further boost information dissemination about the programmes and activities of the state government.
Special Adviser to the Gombe State governor on Strategy and Information Management, Alhaji Ahmed Shuaibu-Gara Gombe, during a meeting with the top hierarchy of Media Trust at the company’s headquarters in Abuja on Thursday, said very little is being reported on activities in Gombe State despite the various strides by Governor Yahaya Inuwa on good governance and democracy dividends.

“We believe this is a situation that needs to be addressed and this is the reason for this meeting with the esteemed Trust Group today so that we can form a synergy on the best way forward in this new era,” he said.
He added that, “The executive governor wants more to be done for him in terms of information dissemination and it is my mandate to ensure that this is done without blemish. We will also need advice from your group as we go along.”
Gara-Gombe described Trust TV as the fastest growing television station in the country that has already moved above some of the existing stations within the period it has been in existence.
In his response, Media Trust’s Group Chief Executive Officer, Mallam Mounir Haliru Gwarzo, expressed delight at the meeting which he described as strategic for the partnership.
“We will support and cooperate with the Gombe State Government in sincerity, based on agreements that are mutually comfortable,” Mallam Gwarzo said.
