Governor State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has paid a condolence visit to the family of the Late Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru, who died on Friday in a plane crash in Kaduna along with other officers.
Yahaya, accompanied by the state’s Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Shehu Ibrahim Madugu; the Special Adviser, Abuja Liaison, Usman Aliyu Garry and other aides, was received by the Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Awwal Zubairu Gambo at Attahiru’s official residence in Niger Barracks, Abuja.

Consoling the wife of the deceased and other members of the family, Governor Yahaya described the incident as heartbreaking, especially to Attahiru’s immediate family and associates, a monumental loss to the entire nation.
Yahaya, according to a statement by his spokesman, Ismaila Uba Misilli, urged the family to “take solace in the fact that all mortals shall taste death and we must answer the call of Almighty Allah at one point in time or another”.
Yahaya prayed Almighty Allah to accept the souls of the departed heroes and grant them eternal rest. The governor also commiserated with President Muhammadu Buhari over the incident.
