Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, yesterday commended Senator Muhammad Danjuma Goje, representing Gombe Central Senatorial District, for his several empowerment initiatives across the state.
The governor stated this while speaking as a special guest during the commissioning of a new Jumma’at Mosque contracted and donated to the Herwagana community of Gombe metropolis by Senator Goje.
He said several empowerment programmes and intervention projects being undertaken by Goje are always centred around helping beneficiaries, especially at the grassroots level and improving the overall living conditions of the people.
Represented by the Head of the Civil Service of the state, Kasimu Ahmed Abdullahi, the governor praised Senator Goje for his dedication to serving the people.

On his part, the National Chairman of Jama’atul Izalatil Bid’ah Wa Iqamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS), Sheikh Abdullahi Bala Lau, disclosed that the construction of a mosque is a way of providing a means to addressing challenges in society.
In his remark, Senator Goje said the mosque project, which includes an Islamiyya school and shops, was conceived and borne out of his desire to contribute to moral and proper upbringing in society.
