Ahead of his inauguration for second term in office, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has dissolved the State Executive Council.
He announced the dissolution during a special valedictory session held at the executive chamber of the Government House, Gombe, on Friday.
Governor Yahaya thanked them for their dedication, commitment, hard work and resilience in their respective ministries in the past four years.
He commended them for the tremendous achievements recorded by his administration in the past four years, which he said earned the All Progressives Congress (APC) led government second term in office.

He said he had forgiven members of his cabinet that might have wronged him in the past and also sought their forgiveness.
Earlier, Commissioners of Information and Culture, Meshack Audu Lauco; Aishatu Umar Maigari (Education); Muhammad Magaji Gettado (Agriculture and Animal Husbandry), and the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Barr. Zubairu Muhammad Umar, appreciated the governor for giving them the opportunity to serve the state in that capacity.
The commissioners took turns to outline some of the achievements recorded by the administration in the last four years, and expressed their readiness to offer their services if given the opportunity again.
