The Gombe State Government said it would spend N665.9 million for the remodeling and renovation of the General Hospital, Bajoga in Funakaye Local Government Area of the state.
The state’s Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Idris Abdullahi Kwami, who disclosed after signing the contract, said the project would be completed within 24 weeks.

Idris Kwami said the scope of work for the project would include remodeling of the Accident and Emergency block, administrative block, all wards including Amenities and some of the toilets.
“Other works are the renovation of the staff quarters and servicing of the generators that provided alternative power to the hospital as well as a facelift to other facilities,” he added.
The commissioner said the renovation of the hospital was to provide good atmosphere for healthcare service delivery in the state, especially in the rural areas.
He urged the contractors to ensure execution of work, saying the ministry and consultants would work together to ensure the project is executed according to the specifications and within the stipulated time.
