A governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammad Jibrin Barde, has commended Gombe State workers as they celebrate Workers’ Day.
In a statement by his media office on Monday, the ex-bank chief said that workers deserved to be celebrated considering the many challenges they faced, ranging from “salary issues to poor working condition defined by paucity of infrastructure.”
He said workers were among the people making the greatest sacrifices for the good and development of the state, and advised them to also take the opportunity of the May Day celebration to reflect on how they could make their life better by voting in the next general elections a labour friendly governor as against what applied now under a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governor.
