The Gombe State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) said it has suspended Senator Bulus K. Amos and a House of Representatives member, Yunusa Ahmad Abubakar.
A statement by the state Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr Moses Kyari, yesterday said Senator Amos, representing Gombe South Senatorial District of the state, was suspended by the ward executives of the APC in Bambam Ward of Balanga Local Government over alleged anti-party activities in the recently concluded general elections.
He said the suspension came as a result of a petition written from his ward, which caused a five-member committee of the ward to investigate the root of the matter about two weeks ago.
“The committee invited Senator Amos, who could not defend himself from the allegations. Hence, the committee recommended his suspension and eventual expulsion from the party. The order of suspension takes effect from Saturday, April 8, 2023,” he said.
According to Kyari, the member representing Yamaltu/Deba Federal Constituency, Yunusa Ahmad Abubakar was also suspended.
