Delegates for the governorship primary election of All Progressives Congress (APC) slated for today are still waiting for the arrival of the electoral committee from the National Secretariat of the party.
Our correspondent who visited the Gombe International Hotel, venue of the scheduled election, report that the delegates were seen roaming about at the premises waiting for the arrival of the officials.
According to the party officials, the officials are expected in Gombe around 3pm.
Daily Trust also gathered that the contest is likely between three out of the nine contestants vying for the seat.
It was alleged that leader of the party in the state, Senator Muhammad Danjuma Goje, who was earlier believe to be supporting Inuwa Yahaya, is now considering either Jibril Muhammad Barde or Umar Farouk Bamusa to emerge as the APC’s flag bearer in Gombe.
