The Minister of State II for Power, Works and Housing, Alhaji Sulaiman Hassan Jara, has said that the power tussle in Gombe State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will soon be over.

The minister said this at the weekend in Gombe while speaking with journalists.

He said with his appointment as a minister from the state, the lingering crisis rocking the party since losing the 2015 gubernatorial seat to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would be resolved once and for all.

Hassan said that the APC would not only become stronger but also continue to enjoy mass followership from the masses.

“I assure you that the APC will be stronger in Gombe because the masses in the party, who are our followership base, are still there. What we had was a little disconnect. But we are getting our hearts together and I can tell you, we are going to be the party to beat come the next election,” he also said.

The minister said that despite losing the recently conducted by-election into the state assembly, the APC leadership and elders are working to resolve the crisis and wrest power from the PDP in 2019.
