Hon Kurba, who is a member in the state’s House of Assembly, explained that each beneficiary would receive a plastic box containing rice, beans, noodles, palm oil, groundnut oil, seasoning cubes, tomato paste and wrapper.

He added that the PLWDs were selected to benefit from the scheme to bring succour to them being the most downtrodden members of society.

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, the state’s Chairman of PLWDs, Umar Ali Goro, commended the senator for the gesture.

Goro also sought for employment opportunities for PLWDs in the state and the establishment of a special centre to empower them with vocational skills.
