The Head Coach of Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) FC Ilọrin, Sanni Ahmed Sardauna, has eolulogised Godswill Akpabio FC Uyo as a highly tactical and mobile team.
The ABS gaffer disclosed this after his team defeated the opponent 2-1 in the Nigeria National League (NNL) Matchday 5 encounter over the weekend in Ilọrin.
In his post-match reaction, the coach praised the visiting team’s tactical approach, noting that they gave a good fight.
“I commend Godswill Akpabio FC for their highly tactical display. We observed their attacking wingers were mobile but we made adjustments to counter them.

“It’s a good thing we came back to win, but we must work on finishing games strongly and avoiding concessions,” he said.
Jamiu Sa’ad headed the Saraki Boys into the lead in the 16th minute, courtesy of a pinpoint delivery from Sani Ramos.
Despite the visitors’ relentless pressure, ABS Ilorin FC held on to their slender advantage until the break.
Godswill Akpabio FC drew level in the 63rd minute through Dung Eugene’s strike, after hitting the woodwork twice.
However, ABS Ilorin FC secured the win in dramatic fashion, courtesy of Moshood Olaniyan’s late penalty kick.
With the victory, ABS moved up to fifth on the NNL standings ahead of their trip to play Osun United on January 18, 2024.
