Glo takes over Naija Sings, offers winner $100,000, SUV

Globacom is now the exclusive title sponsor to the show and in the next three years, the show will be known as “Glo Naija Sings.”

The show which commences September 19 with 10 finalists drawn across the country regions’, will now see the winner go home with $100,000 and an SUV rather than just $100,000 as in season one. However, it is still winner takes all.

The deal was announced Wednesday in Lagos by M-Net and Globacom officials at the official unveiling.

Globacom’s Group Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Mohamed Jameel said the company welcomed the opportunity to partner with M-Net to provide an “enabling platform for our youths to showcase their talents and assure them that they can indeed rule in their different spheres of life if they exerted themselves vigorously and reached for the stars.”

On his part,the Managing Director of MultiChoice Nigeria, Joseph Hundah, said his company, which manages the DStv brand in the country, is delighted with the deal between Glo and M-Net: “I will like to also congratulate Globacom for identifying with M-Net’s vision of developing local talents across all spheres of the entertainment industry in Nigeria; and for coming on board as sponsors of one of the most exciting reality shows on the DStv platform – Naija Sings.”

M-Net Managing Director Mrs. Biola Alabi said her organization was pleased to partner with GLO on Naija Sings and reiterated M-Net’s commitment to fishing out talents across the country and nurturing them to stardom.
