Rachel Abioye, 17, was hit by a stray bullet during a protest in Osogbo on Tuesday evening, and is now recalling the incident.
A mob had stormed the Government House in Osogbo to protest the death of Remi Idris Ajibola blamed on the Joint Task Force set up by the state government.

Ajibola was in company of his friends in a car when officials of the task force chased after them, suspecting they were Yahoo boys.
The car crashed into a bush and hit an electricity pole, leading to Ajibola’s instant death.
Abioye was at the scene of the protest at Government House on Tuesday evening.
She is still in hospital after a stray bullet hit her.
Speaking from her hospital bed, she said she was running away from Oke-Fia during the protest when she saw three youths struggling to seize a gun from a policeman.
“As they were dragging the gun, the policeman started shooting so that those guys would not take his gun away from him,” she said.
“The policeman was trying to defend himself. I was running to the other side but the bullet hit me.”
On Wednesday, Governor Adegboyega Oyetola ordered a probe into the death of Ajibola.
The state Commissioner for Information, Funke Egbemode told Daily Trust that the governor was shocked by Tuesday evening’s sad events and had asked the State Command of the Nigerian Police to investigate the incident without delay.
Egbemode said Governor Oyetola was deeply disturbed over the tragic incident and the riot and disruption that followed the incident.
“We implore our citizens to trust the Government to get to the bottom of this sad occurrence and do the needful thereafter,” he said.
