As part of activities marking the International Day for the Girl Child 2021, the Tarian Sanitary Pad has commenced the distribution of sanitary pads to girls and women in the FCT and the 36 states of the country.
The Chief Executive Officer, Tarian Sanitary Pads, Nigeria, Ms Queen Aina, stated this during the celebration of the Girl Child Day in Abuja.

She said, at the event tagged ‘Digital Generation Our Generation’, that they want to get young girls acquainted with the present realities.
According to her, the launch of the 10 million sanitary pads to be given to girls and women all over Nigeria is possible following support they got from other organisations and some public-spirited individuals.
She said, “Some organisations have shown interest to support us in the distribution of the usable sanitary pads. The pads are chemical-free and approved by NAFDAC which can be washed and used.
“The distribution of the 10 million sanitary pads will cut across all the states in Nigeria and the FCT.”
Also speaking, the CEO of Tarian Sanitary Pads, Namibia, Mrs Bianca Van Wyk, who flew into Nigeria to be part of the project, said the distribution of the 10 million free sanitary pads to women and girls in the FCT and Nigeria is to encourage them and provide them with an opportunity to know that the African girl child can achieve everything.
