Ahead of today’s premiere of ‘Number 12’, the latest investigative work of Anas Aremeyaw Anas, the journalist and his team continue to receive threats and harassment from persons who believe he had stirred the hornet’s nest.
Number 12 is a film produced by the investigative journalist, detailing corruption in the Ghana Football Association.
Anas had earlier given a copy of the film to President Nana Akufo-Addo, who after viewing ordered the arrest of the President of the Ghana Football Association, Mr Kwesi Nyantakyi. The film had revealed shady deals, especially how Nyantakyi duped foreign investors with the names of high profile government officials.
The prelude to Number 12, a film titled “Money Ball” was released on Tuesday, despite growing threats to Anas and his Tiger Eye PI crew.
“Money Ball” is an animation produced by the journalist, which also exposes the rot in football administration in the country. It was posted on Anas’ Facebook page.
Anas fiercest critic, a Member of Parliament with the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Kennedy Agyapong, who had queried the ethics of his brand of journalism had also on several platforms punctured Anas’s integrity.
