Ghana’s main opposition party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the ruling National Democratic Convention (NDC), are making numerous mouth-watering promises to voters ahead of the forthcoming presidential poll.
Flag-bearer of the NPP, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, who is seeking election for the third time, has promised one-factory one-district, one-dam-one-village in the Northern Region. He has also promised to give every of the 275 constituencies in the country one million dollars every year if elected president.
But the National Organizer of the NDC, Mr. Kofi Adams, said the promise wasn’t feasible.
Also, the presidential candidate of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, advised Ghanaians not to be hoodwinked by politicians.
But the NPP flag-bearer believes his promises are achievable.
President John Mahama, who is seeking re-election on the back of his transformation agenda, is also flaunting his achievements.
