The Governing Council of the Federal University Gashua Yobe State,has approved the appointments of Mohammed Bello Aminu, and Dr. Aduku Shaibu Baba, as new Bursar and Librarian of the institution respectively.
A statement by the University’s Head of Information and protocol Unit Mallam Adamu Saleh, said the appointments which took immediate effect, were ratified and approved after considering the report of the interview panel for the positions held recently.
A member of Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN),Mohammed, was until his appointment, has been the acting Bursar at Federal University Gashua since June, 2015.
Born on 16th February 1964 at Gurin Town in Fufure Local Government Area of Adamawa state holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Ahamadu Bello University, Zaria in 1995.
He started his career at Payroll, Loans and Advances, finance office, Institute of Education, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1988 and rose to the rank of Finance Officer in 2013 before he later transferred his services to Federal University Gashua as Finance Officer in March 2014 and became Acting Bursar in June, 2015.
Meanwhile, the new Librarian Dr. Aduku Shaibu Baba, was born on 11th April, 1960 at Anyigba Town in Dekina local government area of Kogi State.
He started his career as class teacher in 1980-81 at Dekina Local Government Area Education Authority Kogi state as class Teacher and later became Assistant Lecturer at Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, in
1998. He became a Senior Lecturer at the same University in 2014.
He holds a Bachelor degree of Library Science from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in 1991. Thereafter, he proceeded for his Master’s degree at the same University in 1997 where he obtained MLS Degree in Library Science. He obtained his PhD degree in Library Science from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in 2014.
Until his recent appointment he was the Librarian at Maritime University Okeren Koko, Delta state of Nigeria in 2015.
