Kano state governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has sworn-in four new commissioners with a passionate call to them to work with honesty and transparency.
The new commissioners are: Dr Muhammad Tahar Adamu, Alhaji Mukhtari Ishaq Yakasai, Alhaji Shehu Muhammad Na’Allah and Engineer Bashir Yahaya Karaye.
The new commissioners were administered with oath of office and allegiance by the Commissioner of Justice, Barrister Ibrahim Mukhtar.
Speaking shortly after the swearing in ceremony, governor Ganduje said Dr Adamu is now commissioner of Higher Education, Yakasai for Special Duties, Na’Allah for Planning and Budget and Engineer Karaye would oversee the minister of Science, Technology and Innovation.
He said the former commissioner of planning and budget has been moved to the ministry of Education.
Ganduje charged the newly appointed commissioners to fear Allah and ensure prudence and honesty in discharging their duties.
He said, “The new commissioners will now join us in steering the affairs of Kano state. They will help us in addressing the problems affecting the state at all levels.
“We are confident that the new commissioners will not disappoint the government and people of Kano. I am imploring the people of Kano to support them.”
