Governors Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano and his Nasarawa state counterpart, Abdullahi Sule on Thursday signed the state’s appropriation bills of over N268billion and N149.3 billion respectively into law for the 2023 fiscal year.
Ganduje, who signed the budget during the weekly executive council meeting, expressed joy at the development.
Sule, while assenting to the 2023 appropriation bill tagged “Budget of Consolidation and Continuity”, said it would afford the government the opportunity to begin the 12 months budget cycle implementation.
He assured that his administration would fully implement the budget leveraging its policy document as it regards education, health, agriculture, security, economic empowerment and general infrastructure.
