Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has signed the 2022 budget into law.
The governor had presented over N196bn budget tagged, “Budget of Consolidation and Prosperity,” to the assembly.

However, the budget signed had been increased to over N221b.
Presenting the fiscal document to the governor at the Kano Government House, speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari, said the document passed through all the necessary processes as required by law under section 120 (2).
He added that the house had recorded a huge success and was enjoying a good working relationship with the executive.
In his address, the governor revealed that he was impressed by the urgency the assembly treated the budget.
