Ganduje sacks SSG, redeploys DG media, others

The Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, yesterday sacked the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Rabi’u Suliaman Bichi, and replaced him with Alhaji Usman Alhaji, a former commissioner for education under the Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso administration.
Dr. Bichi was appointed SSG by the immediate past governor of the state, Kwankwaso and was retained by the incumbent governor.
According to a statement signed by the Head of Service, Malam Muhammad Auwal Na’iya, the Director General on Media and Communications to the governor, Alhaji Baba Halilu Dantiye, was also redeployed to the Ministry of Commerce as permanent secretary.
Dantiye was replaced by Alhaji Salihu S. Tanko Yakasai, a staff of Kano–based radio station, Dala FM.
Also affected was the Principal Private Secretary of the governor, Alhaji Usman Bala, who was redeployed to the Ministry of Health as permanent secretary.
Bala was replaced with Alhaji Ibrahim Kankarofi, a retired Kano State government civil servant.
