Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has launched a drug-free campaign in the state.
Governor Ganduje flagged off the campaign at the opening ceremony of the 7th Annual General Meeting of the Northern Broadcast Media Owners Association (NBMOA) held in Kano.

The event, themed: “Drug Free North: The Role of the Media in Preventing the Menace”, organised in collaboration with the League for Societal Protection Against Drug Abuse (LESPADA), was aimed at addressing the menace of drug abuse across states in Northern Nigeria.
Speaking at the event, Gov Ganduje said Kano had already taken measures to curtail the use of illicit drugs by commencing drug tests of political appointees and civil servants in the state.
