Kano State governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has appointed the sacked commissioner for works, housing and transport, Mu’azu Magaji, to head the NNPC-AKK Pipeline Project Delivery and Kano State Industrialisation Committee.

This was contained in a notification of appointment from office of the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Usman Alhaji.

“In line with the present administration’s commitment towards ensuring speedy and successful actualization of the objectives of Kano state AKK project in the state, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has granted approval for the constitution of a state Gas Pipeline Project Committee.

“Consequently, it is my pleasure to convey approval of your appointment to serve on the committee as chairman,” the statement said.

Recalled that Mu’azu was sacked by governor Ganduje on April 19, for allegedly celebrating late Abba Kyari’ s death, the former Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari.

But in a Facebook post on Thursday, Mu’azu said he was reinstated by the state governor to serve as Chairman of the NNPC – AKK Pipeline Project Delivery & Kano State Industrialisation Committee.

“Alhamdulillah, I am once again honoured to be back in HE AU Ganduje’s administration to serve as Chairman of the NNPC – AKK Pipeline Project Delivery & Kano State Industrialisation Committee.

“These Projects both from NNPC and in Kano State will potentially set the foundation for a new industrial and commercial centers in Kano under HE leadership,” the sacked commissioner said.
