Gambo Magaji FC win Mai Nasaran Dukku Cup in Gombe

Muhammadu Gambo Magaji FC also called Roma FC have emerged winners of the Mai Nasaran Dukku Youth Football Tournament in Gombe State.

In the final played at Dukku Local Government Township Stadium, Gambo Magaji FC edged Giant Killers FC to take home the coveted trophy.

Speaking during the closing ceremony of the grassroots competition, the Chairman of Dukku Local Government Council, Alhaji Muhammad Adamu Waziri, pledged that his administration will continue to support sporting activities in the area.

He commended the sponsor of the tournament, Mai Nasaran Dukku, Comrade Mohammad Lamido Kombi, for organizing the competition, stating that it has played a vital role in fostering unity among the youths in the community.

He urged the residents of Dukku to continue to live in peace and harmony to attract development to the area.

Also speaking, the Emir of Dukku, Alhaji Haruna Abdulkadir Rasheed II, represented by the Shamaki of Dukku, Alhaji Haruna Adamu, congratulated the winners and called on other politicians and wealthy individuals in the area to follow the example set by Mai Nasaran Dukku for the overall development of the community.

On his part, Lamido Kombi expressed joy at the successful conclusion of the competition which lasted about two months.

The philanthropist said that the primary aim of organising the event was to promote health awareness and unity among the youths.

He also appreciated everyone who contributed to the success of the competition.

At least 17 amateur clubs in Gombe State took part in the grassroots tournament.
