The chief of staff to the president, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, will later this month declare open the 44th Annual Conference of the Nigerian Society of International Law (NSIL).
In a release, the President of NSIL, Professor Yinka Omorogbe (SAN), said Nigeria’s security situation, corruption, international law and democratic governance would be in focus during the conference slated for January 24 and 25.

Omorogbe said the event tagged, “Realizing the Nigeria of Our Dream in Global Governance: The Challenges of Institutional Corruption, National Insecurity, International Law, and Democratic Governance,” would equally consider issues around self-determination and secession.
“The conference is expected to bring together International Law experts, political scientists, Judges, Transnational Corporation experts and diplomats among others. Its deliberations will include policy initiatives and recommendations for consideration by the government,” he added.
