He however said even though the Northern delegates began the conference as divided people they became stronger by the day and are now more united than ever.
Speaking yesterday in Kaduna at the Arewa Peoples’ Unity Association (APUA) roundtable, Galadima also said the current militarization of states by the federal government could not guarantee free and fair election saying it was a portent threat to the forthcoming 2015 elections.
“We are committed to unity of the country and a free and fair election in 2015. But militarization of states cannot guarantee free and fair elections,” he said.
In his remarks, former Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Prof. Ango Abdullahi urged the North to go back to farming in order to uphold its dignity and to stop depending on oil.
