Gaidam approves N323m arrears for teachers

Yobe State governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Gaidam has approved N323million for payment of arrears covering March to July 2017 for primary school teachers that have been promoted.

In a statement by the Director Press Affairs and information, Malam Abdullahi Bego, said the governor had earlier approved promotion payments for teachers for the month of August 2017, which has already been implemented.

The statement also revealed that the governor has approved of N131, 379, 385.00 as gratuity payments for 229 verified local government retirees consisting of mainstream local government staff, primary school teachers and Primary Healthcare Management Board staff.
