Lepacious Bose

This really funny woman, who is an actress and entertainer, isn’t called Lepacious Bose because she’s slim. The name itself could send one into a laughing feat, particularly when you actually see she’s obviously far from slim, the meaning of the slang ‘lepa’. Once a size 32, she’s now a 14 and has been happy to share her weight loss story. She graduated from University of Ibadan with a degree in Theatre Arts and has been in showbiz since where she has featured in a number of Nigerian films, including a 2014 romantic comedy ‘Being Mrs Eliot’.

Helen Paul

Her trade mark is the little girl voice she has mastered. It has made her a radio sensation and an adorable onstage comedienne. She doesn’t let-up even when she’s onset as a host of African Magic Channel hit variety TV show ‘Jara’ where she really gets creative and animated. Her movies are no different. She has starred in many films, including ‘When Love Happens’ in 2014. When she isn’t working and winning awards, she’s either visiting the beach, playing with her kids or looking forward to the rehearsals she considers a form of relaxation.

Funke Akindele

She’s one of the most popular faces on television these days. When this award-winning actress isn’t featuring in a movie where her use of English leaves viewers flabbergasted, she’s found doing same on ‘Jenifa’s Diary’, a TV series that has arguably become a family tonic. Part of Akindele’s walk to limelight included featuring in a United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) sponsored sitcom ‘I Need to Know’ which ran from 1998 to 2002.

Chigurl

This comedienne flaunts her far-from-slim weight and has an in-your-face personality that endears. Her outfit is only part of the ‘hilarious’ that is Chigurl (real name, Chioma Omeruah). Sometimes she wears clothes that totally scream no against the shoes she wears. But it’s all a part of the role. She has appeared in the Nollywood film ‘Road to Yesterday’.

Princess

Her real name is Damilola Adekoya. She’s one of Nigeria’s veteran comediennes and has no scruples making the audience laugh at her expense. Princess has made a mark as a compere, actress and motivational speaker. Her roles never cease to be hilarious.

Mandy

Many may remember Mandy’s outing on the Charley Boy Show in 1992, once a popular television program. Mandy Uzonitsha performed at Pablo and The Continental, a monthly international comedy show that features top African comedians. Her first big break in comedy was in 1999 when the publishers of Hip-hop world magazine started ‘Girls Nite Out’, an event where girls ran the entire show from performance, security to equipment.

Omotunde Adebowale David

She’s a Wazobia FM On-Air-Personality and a news reader for Cool FM. Recently, she cracks the ribs of viewers in the comedy series, ‘Jenifa’s Diary’ where she plays Adaku, the food addict. On the Oga Madam Live on Stage show, she does stand-up comedy, drama, skit, and a lot more. She has said she decided to start the stage comedy skit show to see if people will like it, and it has worked out since.
