The management of FundQuest Financial Services Limited says the success and growth of the company for the past 10 years should be credited to its culture of integrity, transparency and constant investment in human resources.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Abiodun Akinjayeju, made this declaration during an interaction with journalists at a media parley in Lagos ahead of their 10th anniversary celebration.
“Our strong pillar in the last 10 years is that our word is our bond. In our line of business, it is the most challenging thing to keep your word in very difficult times. When you want to meet an obligation to a client and you ask him to come back tomorrow, what you should do for him today, technically that financial institution has failed.
“If you take an investment from a client for 60 days and he comes back on day 60 to say ‘where is my money’ and you say ‘come back tomorrow’, technically, you have failed. So, for us at FundQuest, we are celebrating this 10-year anniversary because of the huge successes we have helped our customers achieve and the many testimonies that validate our vision to be a leading destination in the quest for innovative funding and financing solutions in Nigeria and beyond.
“We have been able to consistently sustain our culture of quality service, customer satisfaction and transaction integrity in all business engagements with our customers, who are found mainly within the MSME community. The entire team is excited and we will truly celebrate this anniversary with all the individuals, MSMEs and corporate institutions that have trusted us consistently since 2012. These entities and our ever-reliable team are the true heroes of our success story,” he said.
Speaking further on how they have achieved many successes, the Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of FundQuest Financial Services Limited, Mr. Bisi Oni, highlighted the value they place on training their staff to attain the highest level of professionalism and capacity.
He said, “I reckon that close to 80 people would have passed through FundQuest in the past 10 years. Some were recruited from school and in a few months, they were ready to take on new jobs in banks. Although, we became like a training ground because of our capacity to impact knowledge quickly but at the same time, those who stayed have developed uncommon capacity, usual understanding of the terrain and have assisted in building a solid culture.”
On the reason why the many successes of the company have not been celebrated in the past, the Head, Brand Communication and Customer Experience, Ms. Joan Oghosa Ediagbonya admitted that they have indeed been media-shy but the 10th anniversary marks the beginning of a new era.
