The All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed some notable Nollywood actors as members of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidential campaign council who are expected to garner support for him ahead of the 2023 general elections.
James Faleke, secretary, APC presidential campaign council, released the list in Abuja on Friday.

Of the notable entertainment celebrities on the list is Zack Orji who has been appointed as the Director of Performing Arts (PFA) to work in the South-East.
Another Nollywood star who made the list is Foluke Daramola, who was appointed as a media assistant for Lagos State. However, the actress’s husband, Kayode Ezekiel Salako, is the chairman of the Labour Party in Lagos. Salako was a former chieftain of the APC but later defected to the Labour Party.
Also, Jide Kosoko, a veteran actor was named the Lagos secretary for the campaign council. Others are Saheed Balogun, Gentle Jack, Benedict Johnson, Bimbo Akintola, Fathia Williams, and a host of others in the industry.
There is a total of 24 Nigerian actors appointed as members of the council’s performing arts directorate.
