Our correspondent who went round Damaturu, the state capital yesterday said most filling stations except two were shut. The two were selling fuel at N105 and N110 per liter.
Sources at the filling stations said fuel marketers were hoarding the products in anticipation of a strike by tankers drivers because of an ultimatum given to the federal government to meet their demands which has expired. Alhaji Muhammad Mustafa, a fuel station attendant at one of the stations said there was an increase in supply price from the source.
An official of PENGASSON in Damaturu, Alhaji Adamu, said they had not received any letter from the national body on any strike.
