FRSC urges motorists to obey traffic rules

The Ogun State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has advised motorists to obey traffic rules for categories of their vehicles and also ensure proper maintenance to reduce mishaps on the highway.

Mr Ahmed Umar, the Ogun FRSC Sector Commander, gave the advice while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Ota, Ogun.

He was reacting to the accident where seven persons were burnt to death and other seven sustained various injuries on Wednesday along the Sagamu-Benin Expressway.

The sector commander noted that the tragedy could have been averted if the driver cautioned himself against speeding and also ensure the vehicle was in good shape before embarking on the journey. (NAN)
