An officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Kadiri Usman, has reportedly been killed by a driver in Lokoja, Kogi State.
City & Crime gathered that the incident happened Wednesday while the victim was going to his work place in Koton Karfe, headquarters of Kogi LGA.
A witness said the driver who was driving recklessly near a military barracks close to the Lokoja bridge on the River Niger hit the officer on his motorcycle, adding that he died before help could come his way.
The Sector Commander of FRSC in the state, Mr Samuel Oyedeji, said, “The late Kadiri Usman was our staff in charge of the Koton Karfe sector. He was going to resume work from his base in Lokoja when he was hit and killed by a reckless driver in the morning.

“Unfortunately, we could not apprehend the driver as he ran away before we could get there.”
