The Sector Commander, Ekiti State Federal Road Safety Corps, CC Elizabeth Akinlade, has demanded legal officers to be attached to the commission for assistance during litigation.

Mrs Akindele solicited the assistance during a courtesy visit to the Acting Chief Judge, Ekiti State, Hon. Justice John Adeyeye, in his office.

The sector commander said her visit was a necessity, whenever there is change in government or administration, to congratulate the Chief Judge on his recent appointment and pray for his successful tenure in office.

Adelade enumerated the commissions’ activities and her achievements since assumption of duty in Ekiti State.

She appealed for the judiciary’s continuous collaboration in terms of mobile courts, to cover all their unit commands across Ekiti State to facilitate speedy trial of erring motorists.

Responding, Ekiti State Ag. Chief Judge, Justice Adeyeye, thanked the Sector Commander and her team for the visit, which he described as timely. He assured the Corps of judiciary’s readiness to assist and support them whenever the need arises, adding that the mobile court has always been in existence and functioning.

On the issue of legal officers to assist them during litigation, Justice Adeyeye said Judiciary work is pure adjudication and not prosecution. He directed the sector commander to the appropriate quarters for a possible solution.

Those on the sector commander’s entourage were DCC Olawale Ojo in charge of Technical Service Department, ACC Williams Olushola in charge of Operations, and a Senior Legal Officer, Kehinde Ajidara Esq.

Other top management staff with the Acting Chief Judge during the visit were the Chief Registrar, J.A. Apuabi, Deputy Chief Registrar 1, A. Adegboye ,  and the Deputy Chief Registrar 2, C. Adegoke .
