Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) has fixed October 2, 4 and 7 for its governorship and state houses of assembly, National Assembly and presidential primaries across the country.
The decision was taken during the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the party which also fixed the money payable for the forms for various elective offices.
The national chairman of the party, Dr. Breakforth Onwubuya, who briefed newsmen at the end of the meeting, said the party leadership and members fixed the cheapest prices for its nomination forms to enable Nigerians contest for electable positions, including President Muhammadu Buhari who had complained of the “exorbitant fees” fixed by the APC.
He said the fee for the presidential contest is N5m; governorship, N2.5m; Senate, N1m; House of Representatives, N500,000; and state houses of assembly, N250,000.
“The state executives of the party would determine how much to charge for forms for those contesting as local government chairmen and councillor,” he also said.
