A 21-year-old man is in police net for allegedly posing as a woman to defraud unsuspecting men in Abuja.

The suspect, Terfaya Pera, a native of Katsina-Ala in Benue State, was said to have been invited by a man in Tungan-Maje, a village near Zuba, Abuja, where he live, after he mistook him for a woman.

Speaking to our reporter at the Zuba police division, the suspect confessed that he was invited into the act by a friend while they were in secondary school.

The Divisional Police Officer of Zuba, CSP Fodio Sani, said the matter was reported to the vigilante group in the community on Monday who arrested and later transferred the suspect to the police. He added the suspect would be arraigned in court today.
