France has inaugurated a French language laboratory at the Nigerian Defence Academy in Kaduna State, aimed at providing language training for the country’s military personnel.
The launch event was overseen by the French Defence Attaché, Colonel G. Dujon and his deputy, Colonel Chauvancy.
Major General J.O. Ochai of the NDA emphasised the significance of learning French, as it plays a crucial role in enhancing the interoperability of the Nigerian military with Francophone countries in West Africa.

Colonel Dujon also reiterated France’s commitment to supporting the strategic and operational capabilities of Nigeria while also fostering a robust structure for learning the French language within the Nigerian Defence Academy and beyond.
