A Jigawa State high court has sentenced four persons to life imprisonment for raping a 14-year-old girl at Kurmi quarters in Gwaram Local Government Area of the state.
The convicts are Sale Ibrahim (40), Amadu Saleh (46), Sale Ali (40), and Danmami Yusuf (37).
The prosecution counsel had presented four witnesses including a medical report and tendered two exhibits to prove his case.
After hearing both parties in the case, the court held that the prosecution counsel had proved its case beyond reasonable doubt.

Consequently the court found the accused guilty of the offence of rape contrary to Section 3 (1) and punishable under Section 3 (2a & 2b) of the VAPP LAWS of Jigawa State as charged.
Recall that the state high court recently sentenced one Aminu Ali, 25, to life imprisonment for committing rape and sodomy.
