Four killed in Edo auto crash 

Four persons lost their lives in an accident in an accident in Benin City, Edo state capital, on Tuesday.
The accident occurred along Sakpoba road by Ogbelaka junction in the ancient city.
It was gathered that the accident involving a truck and a commercial bus that happened at about 7:30am.
Daily Trust learnt that the truck conveying sharp sand to a construction site rammed into the on-coming vehicle.
The driver reportedly lost control of the truck, which had a break failure.
The injured person were taken to the hospital for treatment, while the dead were taken to the morgue.
The spokesperson of the state police command, Kontongs Bello, confirmed the accident.
“It involved a truck coming from Upper Sakponba that lost control and ran into a white bus killing three people on the spot while one died on the way to the hospital.
“The injured victims have been rushed to the hospital for treatment,” said.
The Edo sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Henry Benamaisia, who also  confirmed the accident, said he could not give the actual number of casualties.
“I am waiting for the report from the rescue team; I don’t want to speculate, and they are still working to clear the obstruction.
“I will get back to you once I get the update on the numbers of deaths,” he said.
