Four people have been confirmed dead, while four others sustained various degrees of injuries in a fatal road accident that happened at Waillo village along Bauchi-Maiduguri road.
The Sector Commander of Federal Road Safety (FRSC) in Bauchi, Yusuf Abdullahi confirmed the accident to newsmen on Friday in Bauchi.

He said the crash happened Thursday, 27th May 2021 at 2.45 pm.
He added that it was caused by speed violation and wrongful overtaking.
The accident involved a commercial vehicle, a Toyota Matrix Wagon with a number plate: BEN256TA, belonging to the National Union of Road Transport Workers, and a Volkswagen Saloon Golf with a number plate: MUB739QW.
He said, “We were called and our men rushed to the scene for the rescue operation.
“They evacuated them to the General Hospital Darazo for medical attention.
“It was at the hospital that a medical doctor certified four of them dead.
“Their corpses have been deposited at the mortuary in the same hospital after which they will be released to their families for burial.”
Abdullahi added that the injured victims were receiving medical attention at the hospital in Darazo.
He advised motorists and other road users to obey road traffic regulations to reduce road crashes leading to loss of lives and properties.
H added, “Motorists should always reduce their speed and they should know speed kills.”
