Operatives of the Ogun State-owned security outfit, So-Safe Corps, have arrested four suspected burglars at Olokopupo, Atan, Ado-Odo/Ota LGA of the state.
The suspects, Ikechukwu Oligbo, 35, Fidelix Nwakwo, 32, and Chinedu Eze, 37, were among a gang of seven that reportedly ransacked three houses in the said community.

The corps’ Director of information, Moruf Yusuf, in a statement said the suspects were sighted by a patrol team of the So-Safe team from Atan divisional headquarters.
According to Yusuf, the suspected armed robbers were sighted “while cutting the security wire of a building.”
“The officers waited patiently till they went through the back perimeter fence,” he explained.
Yusuf added that the patrol team later reinforced, and that “upon sighting the officers, the suspects took to their heels but three of them were apprehended, while four were still at large.”
He quoted the So-Safe Commander, Soji Ganzallo, as stating that one 24-year-old Nuru Ahmed, a resident of Alaba Rago, Lagos State, was traced and arrested for allegedly buying stolen phones from the gang.
He said Ahmed was arrested with a number of stolen items found in his possession, adding that “he confessed to the crime.”
“During preliminary investigation, the suspects confessed without torture that one of their members called Ugor, who is at large, was in possession of their locally-made pistol.
“Items recovered from the suspects were four iPhones, one metallic blue Toyota Rav 4 (marked KSF 92 GT), two Tecno phones, two black belts, one black fez cap, one wrist watch, two brown leather wallets and a cash sum of N4,840,” Yusuf narrated.
He said the four suspects and exhibits recovered have since been handed over to the police in Atan divisional headquarters.
