The African Children Talent Discovery Foundation (ACTDF), a non-governmental organization that has been helping to empower children, youths and teeming populace, has unveiled its “ACTDF Unleash Your Talent 2017” in Lagos.
A statement by the foundation on Thursday said President of ACTDF, Engr. Noah Dallaji, led an array of ambassadors of the foundation and other celebrities that included Segun Arinze, Ejike Asiegbu, Kate Henshaw, Tonto Dikeh, Alex Usifo, Sound Sultan, Yemi Blaq, Thelma Ojiji, Mohammed Abubakar, Emeka Rollas during the event held at the Sheraton Hotels, Lagos.
The event which hold its zonal auditions in cities across Nigeria from the 17th to the 19th of August, 2017. The regions to host aspiring contestants include Lagos, Enugu, Port Harcourt, Nasarawa, Bauchi, Kaduna, Ibadan/Ekiti and Abuja. Ibadan would kick start the audition process on the 17th and carry it over to the 18th, while the other regions would hold theirs from 18th to 19th of August.
In his speech, Dallaji, stated that the organization has recorded tremendous achievements in the area of provision of humanitarian services to the less-privileged and for which reason it was recognized by the United Nations as a Grade C non-governmental organization.
He said the foundation has paid the education bills of over 2,500 students across the country and beyond, and touching lives positively through offering community healthcare services and helping young children discover their innate potentials.
Dallas further reeled out the people-oriented projects that have been carried out by the organization which most importantly include providing boreholes for rural communities, and putting up relevant infrastructure for the people’s use.
The Unleash Your Talent 2017 audition will majorly feature singing, dancing and acting competitions. It is expected that at the end of the zonal auditions, at least 3 contestants should emerge from each of the 8 zones, who will then slug it out against one another until the final winner emerges. The grand finale is billed to hold in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on the 1st of September, 2017.
Winners of the respective categories of singing, dancing and acting would each get a contract worth a million naira and other cash prizes, and accompany the Foundation to the UN Summit in New York, while the first and second runners up of the respective categories would also be rewarded with juicy contracts and cash prizes.
