Foundation trains, empowers 700 indigent women

The Abubakar Tsanni and Masari Zallah Foundation has trained 700 women in Katsina state on various skills and empowered them with some cash to start their businesses.

The women were trained on shoe making, liquid soaps, tailoring, chain and earrings, amongst others, in Tsanni township, Batagarawa Local Government Area of the state.

The gesture, according to Alhaji Abubakar Tsanni, the chairman of the foundation, was to make the women self-reliant.

“What we have done by this training is that 700 women have been economically empowered and making them self-reliant. Through this training we have created 700 entrepreneurs in Batagarawa local government and the multiplier effect is unquantifiable,” Tsanni said.
