The Leader Joe 1808 Foundation has taken its latest back to school campaign to Madalla community in Niger state.
The campaign, according to the Founder, Joseph Onus, is targeted at enrolling students who cannot afford fees and other basic items needed for their education
Speaking during the event on Wednesday in Madalla, Onus said “So far, 102 students in Abuja, Kaduna Sokoto and Niger state have been provided scholarships for a start with more states in the pipeline.
“The project is three one and it includes planting of 10 economic trees ( Climate Change), distribution of sanitary pad & female hygiene and Leadership training & Scholarship and it is solely funded by the Foundation without any support,” he said.
Speaking further, he said the campaign has so far “Provide varied experiences to the students, thereby building their knowledge, boosting their creativity skills and increasing their cognitive skills which will reduce the danger of them being recruited into militia or terrorist groups, as well as restore their hope and self-confidence,”
