The Country Director of New Faces: New Voices (NFNV), Aishatu Debola Aminu, has said that the organisation is working tirelessly to lift women out of poverty with “dignity”.
Aishatu stated this at a workshop in Lagos tagged: “Women in Leadership: A Catalyst in Advancing Financial Inclusion for Women in MSMEs”.

She said, “When we say we want to move women out of poverty with dignity, the thinking of most women, especially the young ones, is that, ‘I can use my personal endowment to make money’, but it doesn’t last. So, that’s what we mean by moving women out of poverty with dignity. You don’t have to think that you can use your body to get what you want. We want women to start thinking out of the box; use your skills, your brain.”
The Director of Programmes at the Graca Machel Trust SA, Shipra Chisha, urged women to seek information in order to have unhindered access to capital.
