Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has launched the SKAID Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship Award, benefiting 36 indigent students from Southern Kaduna.
The scholarship award, worth N250,000 for medical students and N200,000 for students from other disciplines, were granted to students across the 12 local government areas in the area.
At the ceremony, the governor, represented by Deputy Chief of Staff James Kanyip, urged the beneficiaries to excel in their academic pursuits, emphasising that their success would not only benefit them personally but also serve as an inspiration to others in their communities.
Rear Admiral Ferguson Bobai (rtd), chairman of the foundation’s Board of Trustees, highlighted the foundation’s mission to provide educational opportunities and other forms of support to improve the lives of Southern Kaduna residents.

Ishaya Bamaiyi, a law student at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria, speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, expressed gratitude to the foundation and pledged to make Southern Kaduna proud through their academic achievements.
