Foundation on rights for girls, youths, less privileged set up

A non-profit and non-political organisation, Dream Makers Empowerment Foundation, is set to create awareness on the rights to education of girls, women, youths, and the less privileged, and to provide scholarships and vocational training to help women and youths gain the education and skills to pursue their dreams and careers.

Chairman of the foundation, Amadi Vidal Nwando, in a statement, said other aims and objectives of the foundation include providing regular medical check-ups, health services, counselling and mental health support to individuals and beneficiaries of the organisation.

The Dream Makers Empowerment foundation, he added, also supports small business initiatives through micro financing and mentorship, enabling economic independence and growth, and creating job training programmes that prepare individuals for the workforce, giving them the skills needed to secure employment.

In addition, the chairman said the foundation would conduct advocacy and awareness campaigns and educate the community about the rights of women, youths, and the less privileged, empowering them to stand up for themselves and others.
