Aliyu Trust Foundation (ATF) on Thursday officially handed over a mosque in Lokogoma, Abuja, to the Organisation of Tadhamunul Muslimeen (OTM).
The mosque, located at OTM Islamic Centre in Abuja, was built by Malam Ibrahim Aliyu, Chairman of Urban Shelter Limited (USL).
The General Manager, Building Service, USL, Malam Ibrahim Suleiman, handed over symbolic keys of the mosque to OTM Wakeel, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) chapter, Ustadh Tajudeen Adebayo, on behalf of Managing Director, Aliyu Trust Foundation, Hajiya Aisha Firdausi Aliyu.
Malam Ibrahim, while speaking at the brief ceremony, said Dr Aliyu built the mosque through the foundation in replacement of the OTM masjid at Minister’s Quarters, Mabuchi, in fulfilment of his promise.
Chairman, Council of Imams FCT/Chief Imam, Fouad Lababidi Central Mosque, Shaykh Tajudeen Adigun Muhammad Ballo, who spoke on behalf of OTM National Imam, Professor Qaasim Badmaasi, asked Allah to bless Dr Aliyu, his family and those who contributed to the completion of the project.
The highlight of the occasion was the launch of madrasah (Islamic school) and Imam’s quarters.
